Hi, I’m Lindsay.
I'm normally not this blue, I promise.
A Bit of History
My background is in graphic design,
which gives me the ability to understand visual consistency and hierarchy, see the little design details that matter, and integrate UI into existing brands. I've built and updated many web pattern libraries with UX best practices in mind.
Before switching to product design, I obtained skills in print and digital design. (Some freelance clients love me for the ability to be a one-stop shop now).
Why product design?
I was hooked on validating design decisions with data, so I shifted my focus in 2016. My time in the agency world taught me how to refine my UX process, present effectively to clients, and how to mentor junior designers.
Home for now.
I've taken numerous Baymard Institute courses and have mastered ecommerce best practices, though there are always new insights to discover.
At Away, I've been channeling my love of travel and ecommerce expertise to evolve the UX of the site, and ultimately improve conversion and usability.
What's next
Lately I've been consulting for a fintech company in the solar financing space to refine their proprietary product to increase loan applications and approvals. Here I've realized I'm interested in using my skills to work on products that are shaping the future or positively impacting the world.

When I'm Not Designing,
I might be traveling. Being in a new place feels like you’re discovering yourself all over again. I’ve been to over 40 countries and counting, and below are a few of my favorite views I photographed.
My Artsy Side
Art was the beginning of my design journey as a child. Today I try to get back to my roots every so often with acrylic painting. Below are a few recent works. I showcased my work at The Other Art Fair in Brooklyn in the fall of 2023.
